Discovery tells you what you have. Assessment tells you how strong it is. The Assess step scores each of your 12 value drivers on a structured scale, benchmarks them against sector peers, and identifies where targeted investment will create the most impact.
What happens in the Assess step
Assessment transforms a list of assets into a scored, ranked portfolio. Each of the Opagio 12 value drivers receives a structured score based on investment level, maturity, competitive advantage, and contribution to revenue.
The scoring framework draws on growth accounting methodology and sector benchmarking data. You are not scoring in isolation — each driver is measured against comparable companies in your sector and stage, so you can see exactly where you lead and where you lag.
This step also produces the radar chart that becomes a core visual throughout the rest of the Method: a single view showing the shape of your intangible asset portfolio across all 12 dimensions.
