Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: March 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using the Opagio website and platform. It supplements our Terms of Service and applies to all users of the Service. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account.

1. Permitted Use

The Opagio Platform is provided for your own legitimate internal business purposes, including productivity analysis, intangible asset identification and valuation, growth forecasting, portfolio oversight, and benchmarking. You may share Platform outputs with your own employees, board members, investors, and professional advisers on a need-to-know basis, provided they are used for informational purposes only.

2. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • Illegal Activity: Use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful, fraudulent, or in violation of any applicable law, regulation, or sanctions regime.
  • Reverse Engineering: Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, data models, or valuation methodologies of the Platform.
  • Data Extraction: Scrape, crawl, data-mine, or systematically extract data from the Platform except through authorised APIs and features.
  • Competitive Use: Use the Service or Platform outputs to build, improve, or benchmark a competing product or service.
  • Credential Sharing: Share your account credentials with any third party or allow multiple individuals to use a single account (unless on a team plan with named seats).
  • Unauthorised Access: Attempt to access any part of the Service, other user accounts, or connected systems or networks without authorisation.
  • Harmful Content: Upload or transmit viruses, malware, trojans, or any other malicious or destructive code.
  • Service Disruption: Interfere with, disrupt, or impose an unreasonable load on the Service infrastructure, including circumventing rate limits or usage quotas.
  • Misrepresentation: Represent Platform outputs as professionally audited financial statements, certified valuations, or regulated investment advice unless you hold the appropriate professional qualifications and regulatory authorisation.
  • Resale: Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute access to the Service or Platform outputs without our prior written consent.
  • Spam: Use the Service to send unsolicited communications or for commercial solicitation.
  • Unlawful Data: Upload personal data to the Platform without a lawful basis for doing so, or upload data in violation of applicable data protection laws.

3. Content Standards

All data and content you upload to the Platform must be lawful, not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party, and be data that you have the legal right to process. You must not upload data that is subject to regulatory restrictions (such as material non-public information under securities regulations) unless you have appropriate authorisation.

4. Resource Limits

Each subscription tier has associated resource limits (storage, API calls, users, exports). These limits are set out in your subscription agreement. Exceeding your limits may result in temporary throttling or a request to upgrade your plan. We will notify you before taking any action that restricts your access.

5. Monitoring and Enforcement

We reserve the right to:

  • Monitor usage patterns for security, performance, and compliance purposes.
  • Investigate suspected violations of this AUP.
  • Suspend or terminate access to the Service for confirmed violations.
  • Report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.

6. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to hello@opag.io.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
